Press release and press law information letter on Jutec Biegesysteme GmbH & Co KG's compliance with international sanctions
We hereby announce the following on behalf of our client, Jutec Biegesysteme GmbH & Co KG, Ottostrasse 20- 22, 65549 Limburg, Germany:
Under the headline "German technology for Russia", NDR, WDR and SZ reported on a Turkish company based in Istanbul that is said to have supplied technology worth 7 million euros to a Russian-based aerospace company in 2023. The Turkish company, which is not on any sanctions list, has purchased goods from manufacturers in the USA, the Netherlands, France and Germany in the past. In this context, NDR, WDR and SZ reported, naming the German companies concerned, including our client, that the goods sold by the German companies to the Turkish company may also have reached Russia in this way. NDR, WDR and SZ have neither established nor alleged that our client circumvented any sanctions or that the goods were delivered to Russia. In fact, our client has neither delivered to Russia nor circumvented any sanctions.
A competitor of our client made the aforementioned reporting the subject of an extensive advertising email and, among other things, made the false factual claim about our client that our client was violating EU sanctions and supplying products to the Russian war economy. This false allegation obviously served the purpose of deliberately discrediting our client in public in a manner contrary to the truth. In the meantime, the Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main (case no. 3-10 O 104/24) has prohibited the competitor from making the above claims. The competitor has accepted the decision of the Frankfurt am Main Regional Court as the final, legally binding ruling.
